#45, 46, 1852-53 6kr Rose and 9kr Yellow, each tied by "175" type of concentric rings, on small cover from Bad Ems to Reggio, Modena, with matching "Bad-Ems/30 7 1854" c.d.s. at right, most probably carried via Switzerland with the rate corresponding to 9kr for the German portion of the journey, 3kr for the Swiss transit and 4kr relative to the carriage in the territory of Modena, 1kr underfranked and therefore charged with 4 weiterfranko notation due to Modena, margins being remarkably good for this issue, complete to clear in the 9kr, just touching on two sides in the 6kr, very fine and a rare destination (Image)

#55, 56, 57, 1862-65 9kr Bister pair, rouletted 1kr Green and 3kr rose, on envelope, unknown year, from Höchst to Portage County, Ohio, tied by "124" cancel of four concentric rings with matching "Höchst im O.W./12 5" c.d.s. at right,framed "Paid.10" red on arrival also tying the 9kr pair, backstamps including Frankfurt, Darmstadt and Bremen, slight wrinkles or cover edge faults slightly impinging on some adhesives, still though a fine, attractive and interesting franking.
