1817 (Feb 27) Letter in Persian mainscript, from Nawab Ghaus Mohd, fifth Nawab of Bhopal to the British Political Agent Mr Henley, written on notepaper decorated with diamond shaped gold leaf blocks and sprinkled with gold ink. The Nawab is replying to proposals sent by Lord Hastings, the Governor General of Bengal, which resulted in a treaty of 1818 setting the relationship between Bhopal and the British. An early and important letter from the Nawab, hand delivered, unique. Also a piece cut from the Bhopal Palace despatch register recording the despatch of this letter.

c.1880 Stampless cover from Tank State to Bhopal, the reverse with boxed "POSTAGE DUE", boxed "3AS" applied in error and overstruck with boxed "2AS", a further strike below and "1. DELY / BHOPAUL / 15 SE" c.d.s alongside, fine and unusual.

1879 Perforated ¼a green, value in parenthesis, unused sheet of 32, upright embossing, 6/4 with reversed "N" in "NAWAB", 1/2-4 and 2/2-4 with reversed "N" in "JAHAN", a few split perfs, otherwise fine and an uncommon sheet. S.G. 7, £480+.

1878 Imperforate ½a red, value in parenthesis, unused part sheet of 28 (just missing the lower row), 1/3 with "EEGAM" variety, 3/2 and 4/2 with "NWAB" variety, 5/2 with "JAHN" variety, embossing upright, fine and uncommon. S.G. 8/a/c, £414+.

1880 Redrawn ¼a blue green, perforated unused sheet of 32, 2/2-4 all with "NAWA" variety, 8/3 with "CHAH" variety, embossing upright, a few split perfs, otherwise fine and scarce. S.G. 12/a/b, £1,136+.

1880 Redrawn ½a brown-red, perforated unused sheet of 32, inverted embossing misplaced to the left, some spilt perfs reinforced with hinges, otherwise fine and unusual. S.G. 13, £736+.
