1857-67 Watermark Double-Lined Numerals 1d brick-red SG 27 block of 8 (4x2), margins just touching to good except at the base where all units are cut-into, vertical crease across the third column, large-part original gum, Cat £3800+, for unused singles. Chris Ceremuga Certificate (2013) states "extremely rare".

POSTMARKS - DATESTAMPS: Claremont Military Camp 'MILITARY CAMP/SEP 12 Sent/TA[SMAN]IA' triple-circle rubber cds in blue (Hardinge R1a, rated RRRR) on 1914 (circa) Kangaroo 1d grey Letter Card with 'The Two Brothers/ Queensland' view, to Exeter with undated message giving the writer's target scores, a couple of very minor blemishes. PO 23.10.1914; closed 22.11.1918. Sold at our auction of 15.5.2004 for $483.

POSTAL HISTORY: 1901 two covers with printed 'ARNOTTS/ARE/THE/BEST/BISCUITS' advertising collars in red with 2d Pictorial, or purple with 'PRINTED MATTER' handstamp & 1d Pictorial, both used from Hobart to Oatlands (one with arrival backstamp), minor imperfections.
