1847 Lady Macleod Steamship (5c) blue local. Superb UN appearance, expertly repaired UL cnr which is hardly noticeable, 4 large margins & deep colour. SG 1 cat £30,000 for M or £10,000 for U. (This stamp was issued in April 1847, making it the 1st stamp ever issued by a British Colony & pre-dating the Post Office Mauritius by 5 months. It was used on the owner David Bryce's Steamship for mail between Port of Spain & San Fernando). Extremely rare & world famous classic! BPA photo cert. (P) (Image1)
