Wrapper - PTPO: 1894 use of Stamp Duty large embossed type Platypus 6d red with blue-lined borders. VFU, 'Launceston MR 26 94' duplex pmk to Adelaide with 'GPO Adelaide 23 MA 94' arrival b/s, endorsed book only & signed by W Petterd. Of somewhat unknown origin; Platypus 1d, 2d & 6d values are known with only about 10 used recorded in total. We previously sold a 2d with edge flts in 2017 for $1600+ plus buyers commission. While this is believed to be the best quality used example of any of the values recorded & certificate can be obtained on request. (P) (Image1)
