Hagood attacked the Yankees on James Island this morning and drove them to their boats. Among the prisoners are 30 contraband. The Eutaws were in the fight. The W L I (Washington Light Infantry) have two men wounded, only five of the Regt. wounded -" that apparently describes military action during the Battle of Secessionville on James Island near Charleston; docketing at top also ties 10¢, Fine.
