"St. Kitts." type 5 postmark, very attractively handstamped in transit on October 24, 1794 folded letter from Antigua carried via St. Kitts to London, marked "P the Swift via Liverpool", rated "1/-" at upper right and backstamped January 5 on arrival, after 71 days of a maritime journey, a very fine and most rare postmark, with few items recorded; Robson Lowe 5. "St Kitts/Paid" undated circular handstamp, neatly struck in red on envelope with contents to Norwich, prepaid in manuscript at 6d rate including 5d for the packet, the latter marked in red ink, redirected in England to Wimbledon, being previously franked with Great Britain 1858-79 1d Rose-red, tied by "Norwich/Ap 29/61" duplex , St-Kitts double-arc datestamp, together with London and Norwich c.d.s.'s on back, part upper back flap missing, a very scarce and interesting combination; Robson Lowe 23.
