Mostly 19th century collection with 1679 outer Cadiz to Livorno and 1833 Madrid to London with 'ESPAGNE PAR/ST JEAN DE-LUZ' handstamp, 1853 Madrid Local Post 3c in black of unknown status, many attractive imperfs including 1864 19c lilac/lilac (unused) & 1r yellow-brown/green, 1865 19c pale rose & brown and Perf 14 2r purple, pickings in the later issues including 1879 10p olive-brown, then mostly low value issues to the 1930s including a selection of Civil War stamps plus issues for the Colonies, early stamps with remainder bars-cancels and high denominations with telegraph punctures have been ignored for our estimate.  (100s) (Image1)

1850-65 Classic Issues virtually complete with many scarce to rare stamps mostly in fine to very fine condition including 1850 set to 10r (vendor paid $1000 for the 10r; all with guarantee handstamps), 1851 set to 10r (pen-cancelled on small piece; the 2r on Pelure Paper, with almost full margins), 1852 set to 6r (ex the 2r, see the next lot), 1853 set to 6r (the 2r a bit cut-into; Bergua Certificate; vendor paid $2100), 1854 Arms to 2r, 1855 Fancy Wmk 2c on Blue Paper, 1856 Lattice Wmk 2c on White Paper, 1860-61 set to 2r (the 19c very attractive but thinned; vendor paid $600), 1862 19c two shades (both mint), 1864 19c (small faults), 1865 Imperf  to 2r x6 including a pair (the 19c with guarantee handstamp) and Perf 14 to 1r, and a few others, Michel Cat €40,000+. 1852 Isabella Facing Left 2r pale orange Mi 14, margins just clear - at upper-right - to good, bars-in-oval cancel, Cat €5500. Certificates by Alfredo Fiecchi (1972), COMEX (1975) & Pablo Esteban Paredes (2013), the last of which states (translated) "without hidden defects or repairs". A very fine example of this rare stamp.
