Cat No:1846 over 6

1846 "6 Over Horizontal 6" AU. Great detail w/ faint evidence of an obv cleaning. Mostly white centers w/ some peripheral toning. Overdate is bold. A dramatic error and quite scarce as well. Mega Red states that perhaps several dozen exist in all grades. The 6 in the date was initially punched sideways into the die and then corrected. (Greysheet value is $2,300 in AU50.) (Image)

Cat No:1876 Proof

1876 Proof PR60+. Dark obv toning a bit uneven, the coin shows evidence of early mishandling which is the norm for proofs of this era. From a mintage of 1,150 PCGS shows 246 submitted for grading and undoubtedly many of these were re-submissions. (Image)
