Stock of Mint and Used Scandinavia Filling Five Red Boxes, 1850s-2008, all neatly sorted in roughly 3,700 dealer 102 cards with Scott numbers and with the majority of cards having retail prices shown (roughly 85% of the cards). Duplication generally ranges from 1 to 10, and we roughly estimate there to be 20% mint stamps and 80% used stamps. A spot check indicated the majority of stamps retail $10 and under, noting some stamps retailing from $20 to $50 and up. Online scans show a few cards and an overview of the lot. Collection of Mint and Used Sweden and Norway, 1850s-2010, with a few thousand stamps in two Schaubek albums with slipcase, and 25 manilla stock pages housed in a binder. The collection begins with two Schaubek albums containing roughly 1,000 primarily used Sweden stamps, ranging from Scott #1/2674a, including selections of semi-postals, airmails, postage dues, and officials. A cursory check indicated stamps, sets, and partial sets, cataloguing $10 to $30 and up, including (using 2023 Scott) #s J2, J3, J5, J8 (used, c.v. $133 total), O1-O2, O4 (used, $182 total). The lot continues with a collection of mint and used Norway, with roughly 600 stamps, generally ranging from Scott #2/1691. A spot check indicated stamps, sets and partial sets cataloguing $20 and up, including 2 (used, $150), 104-110 (m.h., $73 total). The lot rounds out with a few hundred mint and used Faroe Islands, ranging from Scott #7/581. Owner's 2009 Scott catalogue value for Sweden totals $2,745, and Norway totals $2,814, with 2014 Scott catalogue for Faroe Islands totals $1,476. Owner's 2009 Scott catalogue value for the entire lot totals $7,035. Online photos show a sampling. We note small faults with some of the early issues, including hinge remnants and mint no gum. Large Mint and Used Nordic Countries Dealer's Stock / Accumulation from Classics to the 1990s, on old album pages, numerous Vario and other pages and in glassines / envelopes. Included are the following higher cataloguing stamps, Denmark Scott # 17 (used, c.v. $110), Iceland C2 (mint, $60), Norway 340-42 (x10 mint, $375 total), Sweden 228 (used, $65), with quite a bit of material in the $5 to $20 of catalogue value. There are thousands of stamps in this group, with more than 100 booklets and booklet panes, a dozen annual collections from the 1970s and 1980s as well as more than 30 souvenir sheets. Some of the material has been prepared for sale while thousands of stamps are in glassines and envelopes. Overall fine to very fine. (Image)

The lot begins with mostly mint Sweden in 70 dealer 102 cards, ranging from Scott #6/362, with catalogue values generally ranging from $5 to $60 and up, along with 13 booklets, ranging from #248a/675a, with catalogue values ranging from $5 to $95. The balance of the lot consists of mint and used Sweden, Denmark, and Iceland, generally ranging from the 1920s to the 1940s, noting mint coil strips, mint and used singles, and a few sets, cataloguing from $10 to $40 and up.
