Saudi Arabia 1944 Air mail envelope from the Arabian American Oil Company, BAHRAIN Island, Persian Gulf to 'Headquarters Persian Gulf Command, U.S. Army, Office of the Fiscal Director, TEHERAN, Iran' franked 1934-42 1g., 3g. and 10g. plus compulsatory tax stamp 1/8g., all tied by indistinct strike of bilingual datestamp, with framed "PASSED BY CENSOR/BAHRAIN" in violet, further small censor handstamps, and with Basra transit backstamp. Envelope with a central fold and 3g. stamp damaged at top, but a scarce censored cover. Condition: Cover Catalog number(s): 16, 17, 20 + Comp.
