Upper left half tied by blue "Apia, Samoa, May 22" cds on cover to San Francisco, Cal., manuscript "Via London" endorsement and "T" in hexagon handstamp, reverse with red "London, Ju 22, 95" transit and "San Francisco, Cal., Jul 4, 1895" receiving cds; cover with light tone spots and reduced at left, F.-V.F., an unusual routing. SG No. 63 var.  Estimate $150 - 200. The endorsement "Via London" caused this letter to be put into a sealed bag that crossed the U.S. without being processed, and sent to London.
