Saint Helena: Airmails, 1936 (Dec. 4) commercial registered Union Castle Line envelope to Essex at 111/2d. rate franked by 1922-37 1/2d., 5d. and 6d. with weight noted as “7gr.”, with blue trilingual airmail etiquette and registration label. Ex Heijtz. In June 1936 an airmail service via South Africa was introduced, mail being carried by sea to Cape Town and from there by air.
