1855 (Dec 24) Entire letter from Tanna to Bombay endorsed "Stamped & Registered, Letter no 30", franked 1854 1a (four margins) cancelled by "9" in diamond of bars, backstamped with red boxed "TANNA / Paid" datestamp and "G.P.O / 1 A.M" Christmas day arrival datestamp. Registered cover from Bombay to Pangim, Goa, with 1a + 4a (2) each cancelled by the scarce open "1" numeral cancel (Cooper type B4c, possibly only used on registered mail), reverse with scarce semi-circular type "BOMBAY P.O / REGISTERED No." (Nuttall type 11a), minor staining, a little ink erosion to address and opening tears on reverse, scarce.
