1884 1d Black and 4d Blue "National Telephone Company". Very fine unused o.g. complete sheets of twelve. The National Telephone Company stamps bearing the portrait of Colonal Robert Raynsford Jackson (Chairman of the National Telephone Company) caused considerable offence at the time of issue due to the omission of the portrait of Queen Victoria and were officially withdrawn from use in 1891 at the request of the Postmaster-General. Scarce and unusual. (Image)
