Oddments including First Sideface 1/- pair apparently unused & 2d used pair apparently Imperf Between but 'blind perfs between' is more accurate, Lined Background 1d imperf pair used & 4d perforated plate proof pair in yellow with blue record-mark, range of plate varieties to 2/- brown, etc.

1899 Post & Telegraph Department Christmas/New Year's Greetings 16pp booklet with photos including Post Office on Thursday Island, 'Coach Loading Mails', 'Mail Coaches Meeting at Mail Stage', 'Train Post Office' x2 different, etc, some damp spotting/toning still quite attractive.
Modest range with a few apparently unused Chalons & a lovely 20/- that is a modern forgery!, 1897-1905 mint set, very fine mint Charity set, etc, condition of the pre-1890 material is very mixed.

1860 Large Star Imperf 1d carmine-rose SG 1, very fine but for the design being just touched at lower-right, light Rays '87' of Drayton; 2d blue SG 2, margins close to good with complete outer framelines, indistinct cancel; and 6d green SG 3, good to large margins & outer framelines except at right, Brisbane duplex cancel; Cat £3400. 1860 Large Star Imperf 2d blue horizontal strip of 3, good margins & complete outer framelines except at the base where a bit cut-into, light indistinct cancels, Cat £5400++. An extremely rare multiple. [Bernie Manning recorded seven pairs & eight strips of 3, one in the Royal Collection. A very fine pair sold at the Prestige auction of 24.1.2004 for $8960]

1868-78 Crown/Q 4d yellow (First Transfer) SG 102, a couple of toned perfs, large-part o.g., Cat £1700. RPSofV Certificate (2016). [About as fine an example as you could hope for]
1880 Lithographed High Values 20/- rose SG 127 corner example from the lower-left of the sheet, large-part o.g., Cat £2500. Ex 'Chartwell': sold in May 2018 for £1080.
c.1880Waterlow essay for a 'QUEENSLAND/TWO PENCE' issue imperforate plate proof in greenish black on unwatermarked paper, closely trimmed but with complete outer framelines. Rare. [The Robson Lowe Encyclopaedia states "Little is known about these essays". Given the amateurishness of the ugly First Sidefaces, we expect the design was prepared in an unsuccessful bid to encourage Queensland to lift its game]
