Postcards: France WWI, range of 19 diff matt coloured photographic sentimental greeting type in distinctive French style. All with pencilled messages on back from a NZ soldier in France. Themes incl railway engine, soldiers, flowers, women & children. Very good to fine condition.

Postcards: GB Smarden village, range of 6 scenes (incl 5 real photo type) (all sent by same NZ soldier in WWI). Noted Post Office, Rectory, Church, "Turk Farm", & old houses (all close up). Very good to fine condition. Scarce lot!

Postcard: GB c1905 comic coloured cartoon of 2 cats (1 longhair, 1 shorthair) with a caption "Why don't you go & get a shave?" Printed signature "Louis Wain". Publ E Mack London. Pencilled message on back. Sent under cover to NZ. Very fine. (Image)

Postcards: GB 1925 matching "real photo" type PPCs x 2, both captioned " 'citta di Elena' in Distress. Publ W. Horton" (1 also dated 27/2/25). Shipwreck 1925, believed to be in Orkney Islands. Fine unused.

Postcard: c1900 Ottmar Zieher embossed stamp type - view of Lake Wanaka, NZ; fine condition with a Christmas greeting on rear.

Postcards: North Island, NZ c1905-15 range of 33 diff view PPCs. Unused & Used. Mostly town scenes. Nothing outstanding, but incl some interesting scenes. Noted train ascending Rimutaka incline (3 engines). Good to fine condition.

Postcards: South Island, NZ, range of 27 diff views PPCs c1905-1915 period. Unused and used. About half are scenic type, the rest town scenes, incl steam train passing through Waitati. Good fine condition overall. Also 7 later (c1930s-50s) real photo type (fine unused).

Postcard: 1906-7 NZ International Exhibition - Elevator Tower (Dutch photo) with purple posted at top of Tower r/s, to Wellington with 1d Universal & superb Exhibition/27 March 1907/Christchurch "c" class cancel.

Postcards: NZ c1910 Kohukohu (Hokianga harbour), range of 6 diff real photo PPCs publ Frank Duncan & Co from photos by F G Radcliffe. Mostly town scenes incl wharf, boats. No's are 6208, 6216, 6222, 6225, 6226, 6227. Continuous message (1922) on back of 3, rest unused. Very scarce. Fine. (Image)
