Postal Card, 1873, 1¢ brown on buff (Scott UX1), watermarked Large U.S.P.O.D., partial New York c.d.s., May 16, 1873 - the 4th day of use, to South Butler, N.Y.; the card is a printed notice from Patent Medicine manufacturers, Dundas Dick & Co., denying the widely circulated story that their Castor Oil Capsules contain croton oil and were the cause of death of "some poor Italian", Fine.
