ENVELOPES - STAMPED-TO-ORDER: KGV 'Star' 1½d red 'TWO/PENCE' overprint ACSC ES57 for City Surveyor's Office, Geelong, used locally with Geelong machine roller cancel, a couple of very minor bends, Cat $400. These envelopes were submitted for uprating after the letter rate increase to 2d on 4.8.1930. The ACSC states that "A small number of users submitted the obsolete 'Star' embossed design". This is not listed in the three users recorded by the ACSC. (Image1)
