1930-39 mostly commercial pre-WWII group including Accelerated Service from Karachi to GB x2 or Czechoslovakia, 1937 to GB with New Zealand stamps cancelled with 'PAQUEBOT/SYDNEY' cds, 1938 to President Roosevelt, 'Centurion' crash cover etc, inwards including 1933 registered from India, 1935 advertising cover from the Dutch Indies, 1935 from GB with 5d strip of 3, 1939 from New York with Prexies 30c x3 & $1 Lincoln Memorial x3 (another apparently missing), etc; also some philatelic including 1935 Daru-Port Moresby-Darwin signed by pilot Hempel, 1938 Clouston & Rickards boomerang cover with stamps of GB NZ & Australia, 1938 First KNILM flight from Java to Sydney, & 1941 Mornington Island parachute mail signed by the pilot "EC Sims", etc, generally fine to very fine.  (30) (Image1)

1939-45 World War II mostly civilian airmails including late-Empire services, entry of Italy & early-Horseshoe Route covers, entry of Japan with 'SERVICE SUSPENDED' to Singapore & Hong Kong, other interrupted flights many with vendor's notes, 1942 registered South African Forces to Durban with Australian stamps tied by 'EGYPT/PREPAID' cds, 1942  registered to Iraq probably flown per KNILM, several trans-Pacific services including first 'Clipper' service postcard, 11/8d double-rate, registered to Switzerland via Portugal at 2/2d & 5/11d rates & last Clipper through-service, POW envelope to Italy & 6d Postal Card to Germany, 1944 printed Forces cover to GB probably flown per 'Liberator' service via Ceylon, July 1945 British Forces at Sydney aerogramme to GB probably flown per 'Lancastrian' service via Ceylon,  7d Aerogrammes to GB with special red/yellow censor labels of Sydney or Melbourne x2, etc, condition cariable but many are fine to very fine. 1941 (May 10) Melbourne-Palestine endorsed "German written" with censor label on the reverse, opened a bit roughly & vertical fold. Per Guinea Airways to Darwin via Adelaide; then probably per 'Cooee' ex Darwin 15.5; 'Canopus' ex Karachi 22.5, terminated Basra 23.5, because of the Iraqi pro-German Insurrection. Then per 'Cassiopeia' long-range shuttle direct to Cairo, arrived 23.5, then by rail to Tel Aviv.

1941 (Dec)-1942 (Jan) during the period of the three progressive emergency routes to bypass Japanese advances in South-East Asia comprising 2.12.1941 to Hong Kong via Port Blair & probably returned from Rangoon; 6.12.1941 to GB flown via Sabang & Port Blair, redirected on arrival; 19.12.1941 to GB Batavia-Sabang bypassing Singapore; 23.12.1941 Darwin to Forces Abroad [our vendor speculates that this may have been carried per KLM on the service destroyed at Medan by Japanese aircraft??]; and 22.1.1942 to Batavia with boxed 'AIR SERVICE/NOT AVAILABLE' cachets & the enclosed letter; condition variable. 1943 (July 14) airgraph from Adelaide to a serviceman in London processed at Melbourne & almost certainly carried on the inaugural Double Sunrise flight per Catalina departing Perth 22.7 to Ceylon as evidenced by the London arrival cds of 6AUG/1943 on the delivery envelope, minor blemishes.  (2)
