24c Trans-Atlantic air mail issue foreign destinations collection of 320 covers housed in four binders showing a vast array of foreign destinations including in no particular order: Lebanon, Barbados, Egypt, Belgian Congo, Australia, Sierra Leone, Spain, Palestine, Hungary, Sweden, Italy, French Morocco, Turkey, India, Algeria, Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Switzerland, Portugal, Venezuela, Monaco, Denmark, French West Africa, Norway, British Guiana, Congo, Cameroun, Mexico, China, Ecuador, Chile, Grenada, Uruguay, New Zealand, Bohemia, Greece, Syria, Estonia, Philippines, Sudan, South Africa, Indonesia, Tunisia, Gold Coast, Colombia, Luxembourg and more, many of these covers have multiple frankings or have been uprated and many are censored, registered, show postage due or bear a wide variety of auxiliary markings, there are also some first flights, usages from APOs, U.S. Possessions and Hawaii, mixed condition which is typical of such commercial usages, but overall a lovely holding from which a fine exhibit can be created; ex-Markovitz.

First flights and air mail covers collection and accumulation formed by a Pan-American Airways pilot so the emphasis is on those flights, including first, third (3) and fourth (2) Pacific survey flights, many Latin America, Caribbean and Pacific FAMs with duplication, including 1937 first flight from Macau to Honolulu signed by the crew, plus other aviator signed covers, Clipper flights and a large stock of perhaps a couple thousand FAMs sorted by year from the 1940s to the 1990s, in addition there are other air mail covers including $1.30 Graf Zeppelin on Griffin cacheted cover to Seville, over fifteen other Zeppelin covers, twelve China first flight or air mail covers, some DO-X, Akron-Macon, Lindbergh, etc., as well as some first day covers, all this filling two large cartons, some faults, largely fine-very fine.

Officials group of covers and postal stationery entires comprised of fifteen covers franked by adhesives and eighteen stamped envelopes or penalty envelopes, majority are 3c or 6c Post Office Department usages, but among the adhesives are 6c Treasury on hard paper, 3c War, three 6c War on hard paper, three 3c Interior and a 3c Treasury, plus there are some better cancels and usages, some faults, most fine-very fine; ex-Markovitz.

Illustrated and advertising covers, group of over 90 covers ranging from the 1950s to the 1920s, including two stampless, two with 3c 1857 issue, four with 3c 1861 issue, five early 20th century multicolored and the rest mostly from the Bank Note and early Bureau issue period, with a wide range of designs and several expositions, also includes sixteen unused Civil War patriotic covers, some faults, largely fine-very fine.

Cover accumulation largely pertaining to Marblehead Massachusetts comprised of both incoming and outgoing mail including 1771 incoming letter, 1778 tax receipt, 1793 folded cover addressed in the hand of Alexander Hamilton with Philadelphia bishop mark datestamp, 1795 cover with straight line "Boston" handstamp, seven early 18th century covers with manuscript Marblehead postmarks, a red straight line "Ipswich Mass" handstamp on 1823 dated folded letter, various Marblehead datestamps, ship covers, hand carried letters, Trans-Atlantic covers, foreign frankings on incoming mail including 1854 three-color franking from India and a three-color franking from Mauritius, all housed in an oversized album, in addition these is another large album with 20th century covers including a couple Spanish-American war patriotics, a third album filled with covers franked by 1998 re-issues of the Trans-Mississippi as well as hundreds of loose covers of apparently little consequence, mixed condition as many were sought out for historical interest.
