[The mail was flown to Fiji, then per wooden motorship 'Vasu' which foundered in rough seas about 300km north of Tonga, and was abandoned. 1960s-70s Covers (few later) sent from various localities throughout Nepal (some remote, such as Dolpa & Jumla) predominantly addressed to Govt Officers in Kathmandhu including Prime Ministers, Deputy Prime Ministers and Govt Department ministers; all are addressed in Nepalese, most are registered with manuscript registration markings, and with 'Singha Durbar' backstamps for the secretariat location where ministers were housed.
