Original contents still inside (rental receipt for Mt Cerebus block). Patch of soiling on back, otherwise fine. Scarce item.

1902 "N.Z. MARINE P.O. / R.M.S. SIERRA" rubber cds: good complete strike (though "MARINE" very faint) 14 AUG 1902 in grey on neat piece, with USA 5c Grant blue, canc complete boxed "PACKET BOAT" h/s. Scarce item.

1905 GB PPC franked ½d EVII canc, Nottingham 16 NO 05, to NZ, charged postage due, then re-addressed (twice) to NSW, Australia, NZ 1d postage due marking, with 1d Postage Due canc Dunedin cds 26 DE 05. Also Australia 1d Postage Due canc fine Bulyeroi/NSW cds 13 JA 06. Rare example of postage due paid in 2 diff countries on the same item. (Image)

1940-45 WWII mail to NZ ex NZEF in North Africa & Italy. Good range of 8 censored OAS covers (incl 6 by air & 1 early aerogramme), franked Egyptian or NZ stamps, or stampless (2). All canc, NZ F.P.O. cds (noted F.P.O. x 4, K.W. 1,2,3,5). Very good to fine condition (much better than usual for such mail).

1940-41 censored "On Active Service" naval covers (x 6), 3 with boxed censor's cachet, 3 with curved top box cachet. All with "On Active Service" h/s & addressed to Auckland. Mixed cond.

1943 WWII printed stampless "Church Army / NPFB" OAS cover ex Maadi Camp, Egypt (MPO / KW2 cds 18 AUG), to RNZAF airman at Rotorua, NZ. B/s 2 fine Rotorua Air Force cds 4 OC 43. Readdressed with "TAEIRI" h/s (misspelt - should be "TAIERI") (for Taieri Air Force: b/s fine cds 12 OC 43). Then sent to his home address in Napier (cds 16 OC 43). From there, redirected to Brandon, Manitoba, Canada (2 Canadian MPO d/s 27 NOV 43). Presumably reached him there! Some edge wear but good.

1945 cover ex South Africa, franked "bantam" 2d Sailor, canc Durban machine d/s (with Maltese Cross at base of cds section) 8.XI.45, to NZ. Addressed to "Colonel Fulton, Camp Commandant, Convalescent Depot, Burnham Military Camp, New Zealand". Fulton was in the NZ Army Medical Corps. M/s "Per S.S. Aquitania". No receipt b/s. Fine.

1951-7 Korean War 2 fine strikes of "N.Z.A.P.O. 444 / F.P.O.2" J-type cds 22 JL 53 on GB GVI ½d & 2 x 1d on piece (creased). Cds used 1951-4 by NZ Forces in Korea. (Image)
