Set of Two Different New Brunswick RPO C.D.S. Datestamps, both are short-handled (thumper) style, with "ST STEPHEN & EDMUNSTON R.P.O." (lettering is well worn from use). Also a "HALIFAX & CAMP. R.P.O. " (lettering is still fine). Both instruments are in very fine condition and without indicia. Both are offered in an original Pritchard and Andrews wooden box with a proof impression on a label on front for a similar New Brunswick railway datestamp, this one "H"X & CAMPBELLTON R.P.O." with proof date of "E / JUL 23 / 10", also including a full complement of 52 indicia slugs, including an E and W, suggesting this set is original to the RPO box. Box has a missing piece where the lid slides in and has a pencilled "stamps" on lid, still very rare and desirable. (Image)

Extensive Lot of Canada Post New Issue Posters and Miscellaneous Ephemera, from 1950s to late 1980s, consisting of 16 black and white English posters from the 1950s, approximately 380 English or bilingual posters in two different sizes (either 23cm X 33cm or 20cm X 27cm) and stamp sheet inserts, (23cm X 23cm), featuring mostly modern commemorative issues. Most were previously folded (mailed that way to post offices), and as expected, we noted a few with faults, such as pin holes and tape stains, but the majority appear fresh and unused. Includes also over 50 larger new issue posters (48cm X 55cm) featuring mostly commemoratives from the 1980s, also previously folded. The group of Canada Post ephemera is made of pamphlets such as mail order product catalogues, from the Canada Post philatelic service (1970s and 1980s), about 150 new issue promotional cards (1990s), several booklets on the story of Canada Post, early issues for the Canada Post Details magazine (1991-1992). Clean lot, no obvious duplication, overall very fine with vivid colors. Seldom offered for auction in this quantity and quality. See scans for a glimpse of the content. (Image)
