c.1912 Essays in pencil and indian ink for a 2d postage due stamp, the two essays similar in design but showing differences in the side details and size of wording, with a stamp size pencil drawing of the current 1d postage stamp alongside, all drawn by Mr H.J Howard who worked in the Secretary's office at the G.P.O, believed to have been submitted to the 1912 Conference which discussed the proposal to issue postage due stamps (recommending that five values of dues be issued, the design brief being given to George Eve). The two essays each 90x100mm, on thick card (255x316mm), a further stamp size essay excised from the upper left corner (believed to be in the Royal Collection), central horizontal fold and small split at upper right corner (well away from the essays), a unique and important item in the development of the first G.B postage due stamps, with an article on these essays by Graham Mark.

1914-23 Simple Cypher Issue with Specimen overprints, comprising set of eight (both 1/- bright blue and deep bright blue shades) with type 23 overprint, 2d and 3d type 26 overprint, also 2d colour trials in carmine, Bartolozzi brown and blue green with type 23 overprint, 3d type 23 a little stained, otherwise fine. S.G. £1,030. (14).

1914 2d Agate upper right corner marginal strip of four (left pane), watermark sideways inverted and reversed, the watermark displaced downwards resulting in the strip watermarked "POSTAGE", superb unmounted mint. A unique variety, this strip the example recorded in the S.G. specialised catalogue as S.G. R41ba. With R.P.S Certificate (2011).

1914-69 Unmounted mint postage dues in a stockbook with many Controls, some watermark varieties, including 1924-31 1½d control block, 1954-55 2/6 (6), 1955-57 5/- (2), etc. (100s).

1924-36 Block Cypher ½d - 2/6, mint Controls comprising Waterlow set of nine (1½d stained) and the eight Harrison printing values, also 3d experimental paper with D25 Control, and an unmounted 3d printed on the gummed side. S.G. £1,600+. (19).

1924-26 1c - 12c Mint and used study with Specimen set of six, set in mint control blocks of four (additional 4c, 8c blocks), 1c used blocks of four (2) and six, also a remarkable used 12c sheet of 100, etc. S.G. D1/6, £780+. (201).

1924-38 Covers and cards with postage due stamps applied at Singapore, including underpaid covers from Netherlands Indies (3, one with ship cancel) bearing 4c, 8c or two 8c dues (one cover redirected with F.M.S 2c + 4c dues on reverse), underpaid cover from G.B with 1c + 4c + 10c dues (redirected with a pair of Philippines 8c dues), underpaid postcards from G.B (2) charged 4c, unpaid covers from G.B with 8c + 12c strip of three or 10c pair + 12c pair, underpaid covers from India bearing 1c + 8c or 2c + 4c dues, etc., some faults. 1924-25 Cover and postcards (2), the cover posted unpaid within Singapore bearing ten 1c dues, marked "a/c"; and postcards posted at Muar franked Straits 1c or from Port Swettenham franked F.M.S 1c + Straits 1c, the Straits stamps disallowed but deducted from the final postage due charge, the Muar card with 1c + 2c dues, the Port Swettenham card handstamped triangular "pTs" with a 1c due.
