China, 1938 (12 Aug.) "Canton Committee for Justice to China" large printed matter envelope to Denmark bearing Dr. Sun Yat-sen London printing 15c. blue-green, cancelled by "Canton S.O. No. 4" bilingual c.d.s., some creasing due to large size of the cover, scarce printed matter triple rate, and a late usage of the 15c. blue-green stamp, issued in 1932, but rendered obsolete in1934 by the appearance of the 15c. red stamp. Chan 315.

By the time this cover was mailed more than a year after the Japanese invasion of China, Japan had nearly completed its naval blockade of the Chinese coast, the major exception being the Pearl River Delta and its port city of Canton, gateway to South China. Meanwhile, the Canton Committee attempted to garner international support for China. Japanese forces captured Canton three months later on 21 October.
