Captain Harold Fischer, c/o Chinese Red Cross Society, Peking to Philadelphia, bearing Regular issue $200 and $2000 cancelled in Peking (8.2), with Guangzhou transit c.d.s. (12.2) on reverse, fine and scarce. Yang R37, R49. Estimate 8,000 - 10,000
Captain Fischer was an American Korean War ace, credited with downing 11 enemy MIG jets. He was shot down on 7 April 1953 and captured by the Chinese in Chinese territory.
