#9, 1859 15c Red, single franking used during the Provisional Government on 1859, July 21 folded cover from Piacenza to Milan, tied by barred rhomboid cancel, with matching dispatch c.d.s. alongside and arrival on reverse, showing interesting manuscript notation at left denoting that the letter was opened by mistake "Aperta in Isbaglio" and signed by the postal clerk "Vittadini", horizontal crease to cover at top in no way affecting the franking, a rare and interesting usage during the Provisional Government; 2011 Sorani certificate; (Sassone €8,000); ex-Gibson.
