1852 Missent mail to Panama, folded letter dated July 27 from Le Conquet addressed to Guatemala, showing Italic dispatch postmark at upper right, alongside with matching c.d.s., red framed "P.P.", "Paid" transit c.d.s. and "4" reales due marking on arrival, endorsed "Via Southampton y Panama" at base, this location in the front making the postal clerk to misinterpret the country of destination as Panama, as confirmed by "Missent to Panama" annotation on reverse, with Paris transit adjacent, a very fine and rare postal-history usage.
