1864 (Dec 1) cover to Chatham, New Brunswick, franked at provincial rate by 1862-69 3d deep blue (SG.23) well centred example, very lightly cancelled with black pmk, also pen strokes, partial back stamps of Charlottetown, Shediac & Chatham. The cover with one side-flap missing, some creasing & minor soiling, still neat & scarce usage of the 3d compound perf (plated as R6/4) from the bottom row of the sheet. (Image)
