1939 Sept. 19 Airmail cover sent from Hong Kong R.A.F. Station Kai Tak to Birmingham, England franked with King George V1 definitive 15c, 30c and 7 x 10c (3 pairs) stamps paying 115 cents airmail rate tied by KOWLOON/HONG KONG cds, with circular Crown "PASSED BY/R.A.F./CENSOR/No.87" chop alongside, on reverse with "VICTORIA/HONG KONG/19 SEP/39" transit cds (only 30 minutes after posting at Kowloon). Some age stains and minor creases. Very Rare. From an award-winning exhibit.The R.A.F. type R1 No 87 censor marking is the only known from Hong Kong in the "Censorship in the Royal Air Force 1918-1956" handbook (2015). Only three items from Hong Kong are recorded in the handbook and only one of them is postmarked Kowloon.
