20/SE/1921 ALTOS - Germany, cover returned to sender, with double Paraguay-German cancellation over the postage, VF quality. The cancel applied in Altos is very light, barely visible, that is why the postage was re-cancelled in Dortmund with 1 November datestamp, very notable. On back it bears several inscriptions and postal marks. With minor defect but of very nice general appearance, spectacular exhibition piece! (Image)

28/JA/1940 to 14/OC/1946 San Bernardino - Germany and returned to sender: Registered cover (with its long original letter written in German) sent to a soldier at the war front. It was withheld by Allied censorship until after the end of World War II and then released. On arrival in Germany, the addressee could not be found and the cover was returned to sender, receiving an attractive label on back. It arrived back in San Bernardino 6 years and almost 10 months after being dispatched! With defects, but very interesting! (Image)
