1683 ENTIRE letter ex Great Witchingham, Norfolk to the Antiquary Peter Le Neve in London with '3'[d] charge & fine 'DE/12' Bishop mark; also 1696 letter from London to Sir William Blackett in Newcastle, without postal markings; it refers to clipped coinage and is accompanied by a clipped Charles I one shilling coin. PEARSON HILL MACHINE CANCEL 1857 cover from London to Edinburgh, franked 1d Stars, tied by The Pearson Hill experimental cancel of London, a Nov. 25.57 Code A, fine complete strike, reverse bears Edinburgh receiving d/stamp for Nov.26.57 cover with centra vertical fold well clear of cancellation.
