BATTLESHIPS: A comprehensive 1900s-1930s collection of named ships of the main naval powers of the time (GB not included), mainly B&W, many real photo types, and some colour images. A few are in port, the rest showing classic views of ships at sea with a few sinkings and a few with deck scenes or passing through the Panama Canal. WARSHIPS COLLECTION: Two binders containing a range of British warships and related themes, mainly unused; emphasis on WWI and earlier. Inc. Submarines, Light Cruisers, Battle & Light Cruisers, Destroyers, Scouts. An interesting assortment which has been well written up and researched. Some Tuck "oilette" types and 3 non-British ships. EUROPE, MAINLY FRANCE/BELGIUM - ART, CHILDREN ETC: Two very large well-filled albums containing a mixture mostly coloured cards either printed or posted in Europe, mainly France and Belgium but inc. a small number of other W. European countries. The cards cover a wide variety of themes and are categorized as France - General; Art; Art (Naive); Children (many pubd in England, some with comic interest); Brussels; and Belgium - the rest. NORTHERN EUROPE ETC.: A large album of PPCs showing mainly northern Europe 1900s to early 1930s, the majority postally used with a range of pmk interest. This unusual collection contains pre-WWII cards showing images of towns, street scenes (many later obliterated by military activity) stations, people, etc. and contains some early PPCs with undivided backs. Condition is a little mixed but mainly very good. The album also contains hotels in Monte Carlo and a few cards of similar age from Spain, Algeria, Argentina, Australia etc. Lot also inc. a set of large format photographic prints of Paris on thin paper (21, 1910-15? possibly removed from a book, some showing signs of liquid damage), an Album Artistique LL wide-format study of Paris (23 images, 1930s? - loose binding) and a few modern foreign cards.
