Essays - 1928 Melbourne Exhibition Stamp Design Competition: original artwork for 'THREE HALFPENCE' value by Mr E.N. Broad of London, working under the non de plume "Enbee", depicting a winged letter 'A' monument with Kangaroo and Emu on either side, in Indian ink and China white on artboard (16x13.5cm), endorsed "Enbee 1928 No1". Most attractive.[Mr Broad shared third prize in the competition for another submitted design showing the King's Head, the competition being won Mr R.A.
