1927 Opening of Canberra Parliament House 1½d complete sheet of 80 (10x8) stamps all CTO with 30mm 'CANBERRA/9MY27/F.C.T.' on the First Day of Issue, ACSC 132w, the stamps are fine and fresh with some perf reinforcing in the margin only.

1932 Large Lyrebird Chambon 'Essays' 1/- in deep red ACSC 145PP(1)A, well-centred, small hinge remainder, Cat $750. [The ACSC states that the so-called Chambon Essays - with 'AUSTRALIA' and 'ONE SHILLING' scored through on the die - were printed by France's Stamp Printing Works on their Chambon printing presses "apparently in connection with efforts of the French authorities to sell Chambon intaglio printing equipment to the Note Printing Branch"]

1932 Sydney Harbour Bridge marginal single from the upper-left corner of Sheet A with Single Plate Dot at the corner ACSC 148z, two slightly untidy strikes of Perth (?) '..MR32' cds, quite well-centred, a little light overall aging hardly detract, Cat $3000 for a mounted Plate Dot single (unpriced used). The plate dots were usually guillotined-off and very few examples have survived: mint examples are rare; commercially used they are the proverbial 'hen's teeth'.

1932 Sydney Harbour Bridge 5/- green complete sheet of 20 (5x4) from Sheet D with John Ash Imprint ACSC148zd & Retouch over Left-Centre of Bridge [12], most are well- to very-well centred, small aging mark on the gum of the lower-left unit, light gum bends as usual, unmounted, Cat $31,000+. Arthur Gray's complete Sheet A - variable centring & one unit with light stains - sold for $22,610; Stuart Hardy's complete Sheet C - minor imperfections - sold for $27,960.

1946 Major Mitchell 2½d carmine Imperforate Interpanneau Block of 8 (4x2) from the base of the sheet with humungous lower margin with both the Imprint and full Plate Number '-3-' ACSC 239za, some characteristic minor wrinkles, the block folded vertically through the gutter and horizontally above the plate number, unmounted, Cat $17,000+ for a plate number block of 4 and an imprint block of 4. A spectacular rarity.
