OVERPRINTED 'O.S.' THICK TYPE: 1876-85 Perf 11½-12½ 6d Prussian blue as SG O25 but Imperforate, from the left of the sheet with margins close to huge & a fragment of the adjoining unit above, lightly cancelled. Unlisted by Gibbons. Absent from Gary Diffen's collection. Larger than Don Pearce's example with good even margins, believed then to be the only recorded example, that sold for $898. Necessarily offered "as is".
COMMISSARIAT OFFICE: Black 'C.O.' on Rouletted 2/- carmine with full roulettes, the overprint is very faint but obvious, characteristic aging caused by the 'black-boy' gum used, very fine 'GPO ADELAIDE/AP26/69/ S-A' cds. Rated RRR+. Don Pearce's similar single sold for $399.
