Hart the Nicaraguan Consul in London, tied by GREY-TOWN circular datestamp (Jan 16, code B) in black. 'London / Paid' arrival cds in red at left (Feb 13). A very scarce and extremely fine cover. 1882 (Jan 16): Great Britain 1880 1 d. venetian red, a single example and a horizontal strip of four, used on 1882 cover from Fernando Chomorro in Granada to Pector & Ducout in Paris, cancelled by three superb strikes of the GREY-TOWN circular datestamp (Jan 16, code B) in black. Reverse with London traansit cds in red (Feb 13) and Paris arrival cds of the same day. A delightful and rare cover.rnNote: The Greytown British Postal Agency was closed on 1st May 1882. 1880 (Dec 7): Nicaragua 1869 perf. 5 c. black and 1878/79 rouletted 25 c. green (Scott 5+12), used on 1880 cover from Fernando Chamorro in Granada to Pector & Ducout in Paris (traders in brandy and gemstones) and cancelled by barred handstamp in black, with circular 'Correos de Nicaragua / Granada' cds in blue at left (Dec 7). Great Britain 1870 1½ d. lake-red pl. 3 and 1880 1 s. orange-brown pl. 13 overlapping the Nicaragua adhesives tied by neat GREY-TOWN circular datestamp (Dec 15) in black for full payment to destination with reverse showing faint London transit cds in red.
