Accumulation of Used Newfoundland in Glassines, 1897-1947, with many thousands of stamps in roughly 100 glassines. We note the majority of stamps appear to be post-1900, with a few glassines containing 1897-1901 issues. A nice lot for the Newfoundland specialist with the possibilities for finds and postmarks. Group of Roughly 150 Used Newfoundland, 1857-1947, in hingeless Lighthouse album pages, starting with 6 Pence issues including Scott #s: 1 (c.v., $250), 11A ($115), 18, 20, 21 ($150), 23 ($110), along with a few stamps cataloguing $10 and up. We note some of the stamps have better postmarks, including a few socked on the nose, noting T.P.O., c.d.s., and broken circle, along with a foreign c.d.s town postmark on a 5c orange-red Newfoundland dog stamp. The lot also includes a few used BNA stamps noting British Columbia 8-9 ($450 total), and Nova Scotia 2 (4 margins, $225). Online photos show a few sample pages. Catalogue value for the Newfoundland totals $6,714.
