1860, 1 s., rose lake, handstamped CANCELLED between horizontal bars from the lower left of the original block of four, the only other example does not show any of the letters of the word CANCELLED just touched to clear margins - ex Peter Jaffe - see Cancelled by Perkins Bacon, 1998, the only one in public hands and the more desirable one showing the letters CANC(ELLED), pos. 2 and 4 of the block are destroyed, for the outstanding collection, totally undercatalogued, XF!.
