Stockpages of Classic issues completely unsorted & unidentified to 4a green x23 including a pair & a couple unused, a few other multiples including 1a blocks of 6 x2, & a few Pin-Perfs, postmark interest, condition variable but generally fine to very fine; c.1910 enormous Land Court 2a yellow-green Revenue; then Sri Pashupati issues including First Printing 2p bright yellow-green Error of Colour SG 57a complete sheet of 40 (4x10) with marginal inscriptions at the sides with full unmounted original gum, plus 1950s ungummed sheets of 40 (4x10) comprising 2p brown on Laid Paper with inscriptions on both sides, 2p lake-brown on Wove Paper with inscriptions at left only, and 8p scarlet on Wove Paper with inscriptions at right only, some minor imperfections, thereafter largely complete mint to 1975 including 1949 Pictorials, 1954 Maps 50p & 2r, 1957 Crowns, 1960 Children's Day sheetlet of 4 **, similar used array plus numerous First Day Covers & a few commercial covers, also a stockbook of mostly blocks, some full sheets, lots of thematic content, a photograph of King Mahendra signed by him "Mahendra/Nepal/1970", and some strays, generally very fine. 1881-1900 Primitive Issues high-quality selection with 1881 First Issue on European Wove Paper Pin Perforated 1a dull blue SG 1 (F&V 1) Stg 2, unused with small-part brown original gum, another superb unused example in deep bright ultramarine, 2a purple SG 2 (F&V 2) with large-part original brown gum, and 4a yellow-green SG 3 (F&V 3), light ironed-out horizontal crease, large-part original white gum; Imperf 1a blue SG 4 (F&V 4) three unused examples in different shades (one is superb), 2a purple SG 5 (F&V 5) x2, one with large-part original gum, and 4a yellow-green SG 6 (F&V 6), a couple of minor shallow thins, unused; 1886-98 Local Paper of Good Quality 1a blue Setting 8 block of 4 [51-52/59-60] comprising two vertical Tete-Beche Pairs SG 7a (F&V 7a) and Setting 9 lower-right corner block of 4 [49-50/57-58] in different shades & both superb, 2a dull violet SG 8 (F&V 8) used block of 4 & superb unused marginal block of 8 [49-52/57-60] from the lower-left of the sheet; Later Blurred Impressions 1a block of 12 (4x3), 1a two vertical tete-beche pairs & another in a lower-right corner block of 8 (4x2), Local Paper of Poor Quality 4a vertical tete-beche pair & Pin Perf 4a block of 4; Cat £8500+ (US$8000+). A wonderful group of these native classics.  (60) (Image1)

1881 First Issue, on European Wove Pape Imperf 1a blue SG 4 (F&V 4) Stg 1 horizontal strip of 4 [1-4], unit [3] with Dent at Upper-Left Corner, large even margins, the first unit with a couple of almost imperceptible tonespots otherwise the strip is superb, unused, Cat £900+ (US$600+). [Hellrigl & Vignola state at page 67, "...the imperforates are invariably without gum...multiples of this setting are extremely rare"]

1886-98 on Local Paper of Good Quality Early Printings with Clear Impressions 2a blue-violet SG 8 (F&V 8) on Stout Paper Setting 5 marginal irregular block of 18 [31-32/37-40/45-48/53-56/61-64] from the lower-right of the sheet with traces of the marginal lines at right & base, margins good to huge, unused, Cat £2160+ (US$900+), for singles. Superb. With 1999 letter from Wolfgang Hellrigl: "...the only blocks I know of are from the top and bottom corners of the left side...your block is probably (90%) from Setting 5 [and] the largest known multiple of this rare setting!!" In their book, Hellrigl & Vignola state at page 127 "...Multiples and marginal copies must be regarded as great rarities".
