1858 folded out letter sheet to London with a 3d rose (SG.4) cancelled blue 14.JA NATAL. The postage rate to the UK was 6d & a '6d' charge mark applied. A Cape Packet Letter Devonport MR.10.1858 date stamp is on the front, on the back a London MR.11.58 arrival cancel. The letter would have travelled on the 'Waldensian' leaving Durban 14th Jan arriving Cape Town 23rd Jan. Then on the 'Norman' that departed Cape Town 29th Jan arriving Devonport 10th March. (Image)
