Mexico, Airmail, 1929, 25c Eagle, Issued Proofs, set of 8 in different colors, six perf. 12 and two imperf., all with full o.g., imperfs with large margins, one left margin single, one with minor tone spots hardly detracting, fresh and Extremely Fine, an extremely rare set of these proofs that where placed on sale at the Mexico City post office on May 3rd, with a total of 50 of each type produced; Sanabria No. 15 with 1993 MEPSI certificate. Sanabria No. 9-16. Estimate  $1,000 - 1,500. It is stated in the Scott catalog that these proofs where sold with the understanding that they where for collectors, however the majority of them where used on air mail sent out that day. $0 (Image)
