Mexico, 1884-85 Medallion Issue Collection. Exhibition collection housed on 70 pages in large binder, including Officials, very complete collection of stamps and covers including some very scarce items, all denominations except the 5p & 10p blue green are present, many large blocks, a lot of unused stamps, every denomination with a section of selected difficult and beautiful cancels, several combination frankings with the 1874 and 1878 issues, registered mail, imperforated stamps (including one pair on cover), specimens, proofs, a very nice section on the elusive early district overprints (Chiapas, Etzatlan, Saltillo, Tehuantepec, Maravatio, Soyaniquilpam), rare bisects, double printings, a fantastic cancelled block of 40 two pesos (remainder cancel, but nevertheless rare and magnificent), many of the covers are very scarce, with just the first 2 pages have a Scott value of $1,350; well worth careful evaluation.
