Cat No:8

1848, EARLY impression, position 10, huge margins from the lower left corner, cancelled with three ringed FLACQ numeral. It is very possible that this remarkable stamp is an imprimatur of the EARLY impression because of the depth of the engraving. An outstanding stamp in this early state, there is not one piece of the 19 pictured in the Kanai-collection that has the same presence. This stamp was first certified in 1915 by the RPSL, was then in the Theodore Champion collection, when it re-appeared in 1986, it was given a BPA certificate, this has been lost, a new BPA certificate has been obtained, SUP!. Estimate 18.000€. (Image)
