Massachusetts -- Baldwinville double-ring 1849 stampless folded letter to Fitzwilliam Massachusetts Good double ring postmark and numeral 5 in black on this letter to Dexter Whittemore regarding receipt of his catalog for hats. Whitmore kept a small store in Fitzwilliam. He is said to have been the  first merchant of Cheshire county to give up the sale of spirituous  liquors. He was chosen to many offices of trust, and was very  generous. (Image1)
