Rec'd, Sep 23, 1901" and violet "Mil. Sta. No. 1, Philippines Islds., Registered, Oct 8, 1901" cds's, Very Fine, a very rare routing and unique separate franking of Saipan and Agana, Guam. Michel No. 12+8+13  Estimate $2,000 - 3,000. The pair of 40pf stamps paid the additional U.S. postage once it entered Guam. The stamps were affixed at Saipan but they were left uncanceled until they reached Guam.
