1909 (1 Mar) coverfront (somewhat defective) with 10c franking, sent from Vintimille, Nice to Mukden, Manchuria, with Changchun, I.J.P.O. arrival and "Transit a decouvert en Extreme Orient est defendu" handstamp, returned to sender (Commandant Forzinetti, formerly of Cherche-Midi military prison where Capt. Alfred Dreyfus was first held. Forzinetti was convinced of Dreyfus's innocence and is credited as the first Frenchman to protest his innocence.
