U.S. EARLY FDC, FIRST FLIGHT AND EVENT COVER ACCUMULATION, includes about 2000 various covers sorted into four cover boxes and one album, there are several hundred FDC's from the mid 1920's to about 1940 and there are many different cachets included, values in the First Days are up to about $75 with a few higher and many in the $20-30 range, there are several hundred First Flight covers with a really wide variety of flights both with U.S. and some Worldwide stamps and flights, there are several dozen common postal stationary items, there is a album with mounted FDC's which catalogs in the $1,200 range as just first days with no premiums for the better cachets, there are several hundred various Event covers included and some appear to be quite good, the overall condition is very, very clean but some scattered faults are to be expected, a really interesting lot and we suspect there are better covers here since this lot is unpicked and was put together in the 1930's, well worth a good look for the specialist in this area, (ENV 1,000-2,000) (Image)
