1900 CANADIAN FIRST CONTINGENT BOER WAR SOLDIERS LETTER, a 1d Cape of Good Hope letter sheet date-line PAARDERBURG MAR6,1900 and mailed from the Cape Town British FPO on MAR13,1900, addressed to USA with great contents, writer apologizes for the poor letter condition after carrying it for weeks in a haversack, describes the Canadian troops under General Roberts surrounding and defeating General Cronje's Boers at PAARDEBERG, 6 Canadians were killed including their Captain, this was the first British Victory in the Boer War, no stamps available and letter was sent as-is with 6¢ postage due (no Canadian Soldiers rate to USA), the hand written letter is neatly transcribed, no censorship, a significant Canada historic piece, F-VF est ($200+ US) (Image)
